Halberds Fall Short, 6-3, at Tortolita
|
Tortolita third baseman Miguel Canales picked up 3 ribbies while helping his team beat back the Alloway Halberds, 6-3. Francis Cahill was called on to finish, recording his 4th save. The 6th-place Drummers now have a win-loss record of 30-28.
Canales had a game-changing double in the bottom of the first. On a first pitch curveball from Bob Browning, he banged a bases-clearing double to right-center, giving the Drummers a 3-1 lead. It was the 6th double of the year for Canales.
"I was able to barrel up some pitches," said Canales.
