Fog Take Tight Tilt
|
Sunset District used a superb performance from starting pitcher Merlin Bassett to down the Salt Lake City Buzz, 4-0. Bassett got the win, improving to 3-1. He allowed 4 hits and walked 2 over 7 innings. Bassett allowed no earned runs. Sunset District is now 36-21, 4 games up in the Silver AAA.
Also having an impact was designated hitter Mike Wazowski, who stroked a run-scoring double in the bottom of the fourth for Sunset District. For the game, Wazowski was 2-3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"I like what I saw today," said Sunset District manager Rudy Hankins, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
