Buzz Win at Pennsauken, 3-2
|
The Pennsauken Flyers got a superb performance from pitcher Augusto Ramos, but the Buzz still won the game, 3-2. Ramos was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball. Brian Morris was the winner. Over 7.1 innings, he allowed 2 runs on 8 hits, with 2 walks and 4 strikeouts. Luis Bejarano earned his 5th save in 5 tries.
Early in the game, first baseman Wayne Saunders had a 2-run double for Salt Lake City. It was his 9th double of the season and put the Buzz on top, 2-0.
"We had the game right there for the taking," said Pennsauken manager Juan Rodríguez. "But we decided not to take it."
Today's win puts Salt Lake City at 23-23, while Pennsauken falls to 26-20.
