The Sunset District Fog faced a tough opponent in Vermont pitcher Bill Lee, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Monster Field by a final score of 3-1. Lee went 6.1 innings and allowed no earned runs. Roberto Silva got the win, improving to 2-2. He pitched 7.1 innings, giving up 7 hits and 1 run, while striking out 2 and walking 4. Sunset District goes to 28-17. The win puts them 2 games up in their division.
Pedro Tapia contributed a productive at-bat in the top of the eighth. With a runner on 1st, he hit a single. It was one at-bat that helped Sunset District get the win.
"Credit where credit is due," said Tapia, "this was a team win."
