Drummers Jolt Buzz with Late Rally
With designated hitter Yoshihito Saikawa leading the charge, the Tortolita Drummers defeated the Salt Lake City Buzz, 9-8, at Spirits Stadium. Saikawa was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. Tortolita reliever Don Miller picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Léonard Moreau absorbed the loss. Pedro Figueroa, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 8th save.

The game was at a stalemate until shortstop Dave King came to bat in the top of the eighth. Facing Salt Lake City pitcher Léonard Moreau, he hit a full count fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Tortolita on top, 9-8.

"This game had a little bit of everything," said King.

At 21-21, the Drummers are currently 6th in the Silver AAA.
