Halberds Beat Flyers, 8-5

The Alloway Halberds and Pennsauken Flyers obliged those fans who came to Ballpark of Alloway hoping for an exciting game.
Alloway beat Pennsauken at Ballpark of Alloway, eking out a 8-5 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher John Hamilton, who earned player of the game honors. Earning his 2nd save of the year was John Hicks.
Also contributing to the win was designated hitter Wes Bradley, who stroked a run-scoring single in the bottom of the second for Alloway. For the game, Bradley went 3 for 3 with 3 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs.
In comments to the Alloway Daily News, Bradley admitted he's been told to improve his work habits. "But," he said, "I know when to take it to another gear."
The Halberds now have a record of 14-27.
