Howard Finch pitched a good game, but his team, the Pawnee ParksNRec, still dropped a 4-2 decision to the Pennsauken Flyers at Whips Ballpark. Pennsauken reliever Manny Hernández was credited with the win, to go to 2-0. Howard Finch took the loss for Pawnee. With the win over Pawnee, the Flyers improved to 18-15.
One impactful at-bat came in the top of the first inning. With the bases loaded, the batter, Roy McFerran, hit a sacrifice fly. It made the score 1-0, Pennsauken, and helped them go on to win.
"Glad to get this win," said McFerran. "But we need to keep playing at a high level."
