With catcher Edward Payne leading the charge, the Naperville Battlekings defeated the Salt Lake City Buzz, 6-5, at Constellation Ballpark. Payne was 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The Buzz have now dropped 5 straight.
Zeus Preckwinkle, who leads the SAAA in triples with 5, aided the Naperville cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the center fielder was 1 for 4.
