Fog Come Up Short at Pennsauken
|
Both teams had their chances, but the Pennsauken Flyers eventually prevailed at Pennsauken Park.
The Pennsauken Flyers picked up a win at Pennsauken Park, knocking off the Sunset District Fog, 4-2. Starting pitcher Seong-rae Park was an essential part of his team's success. Park, now 3-0, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 10, walking 1, and allowing 2 earned runs.
One important at-bat came with the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh. That's when José Rodríguez, who is tied for 8th in the SAAA in extra base hits with 9, reached on an error by the 2B, driving in 1 run. The Flyers went on to win.
"I was a little disappointed," said Sunset District manager Rudy Hankins. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
The Flyers own a robust 15-13 mark.
