The Port Royal Disaster got a sterling performance from second baseman David McJannett, but the ParksNRec still prevailed, 8-7. McJannett was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Pawnee reliever Albert Castillo picked up the win to move to 3-0. Joe Griffin suffered the loss. Mark Sanders was called on to finish, recording his 5th save.
It could have been a different outcome for Pawnee, had it not been for Felipe Trujillo, the 25-year old first baseman . Trujillo contributed a run-scoring hit-by-pitch in the bottom of the seventh inning to put Pawnee up, 8-7.
"We'll take this win and move on," said Trujillo.
The ParksNRec move to 15-9 with the win, while the Disaster drop to 10-14.
