Lake Monsters Fall to Fog, 9-2
|
Sunset District designated hitter Mike Wazowski was instrumental in his team's 9-2 win over the Vermont Lake Monsters. Wazowski, who is rated as the 28th best prospect by BNN, went 2-4 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Fog. Rich Wright was credited with the save for Sunset District, his 1st of the season. The Lake Monsters drop to 9-10 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2028 season.
Sunset District took the lead in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Joaquín Reyes stroked a 2-run single to make it 4-2, Fog.
"We were firing on all cylinders today," said Sunset District Fog manager Rudy Hankins.
