Pawnee had no answer for Salt Lake City Buzz starter Scott Mildren, who flummoxed ParksNRec hitters as the Buzz cruised to a 6-0 victory. Mildren picked up the win for Salt Lake City, going 5.1 innings. He gave up no runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 2-0. Léonard Moreau earned the save, his 2nd, for the Buzz.
Also pitching in was Salt Lake City designated hitter Curt Kenney, who hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the third. For the game, Kenney went 1 for 5 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"Winning is all that really matters and we got it done today," Kenney told the Salt Lake City Observer.
