The Salt Lake City Buzz got a stellar effort from pitcher Scott Mildren, helped Salt Lake City score a 7-2 win over the visiting Sunset District Fog. In 6 innings, Mildren surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 0. He allowed 2 runs. With the loss, Sunset District drops to 4-5.
Also making an impact was center fielder Vicente Cruz, who drilled a 2-run triple in the bottom of the third for Salt Lake City. For the game, Cruz was 2 for 4 with a triple and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play ever better," said Salt Lake City manager Enrique Zumaya.
