Lake Monsters Come Up Short at Pennsauken
|
Pennsauken withstood an impressive performance by Vermont first baseman Ray John to defeat the Lake Monsters, 7-6, at Pennsauken Park. John went 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Jeren Kendall closed the door for Pennsauken, picking up his 3rd save of the year. With the win, Pennsauken boosts its record to 4-3.
Also producing for Pennsauken was center fielder Marc Beck, who stroked a 2-run double in the bottom of the third. For the game, Beck was 1 for 3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs.
"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Pennsauken manager Juan Rodríguez.
