Drummers Come Up Short at Vermont
Benefiting from Ray John's productive game, the Vermont Lake Monsters downed the Tortolita Drummers, 7-4. John was 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for the Lake Monsters. Jim Unknown recorded his 1st save for Vermont. The loss lowers the record for Tortolita to 3-2.

Vermont took a 6-4 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning, when José Alcalá hit a clutch 2-run home run to bring Lake Monsters fans to their feet.
