Drummers Bang Out 7-1 Win Versus Vermont
|
Tortolita Drummers starter Ricky Jackson pitched a strong game against the Vermont Lake Monsters at Monster Field, leading the Drummers to a 7-1 win. Jackson went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 4, and struck out 2. His record improves to 1-0. At 3-1, the Tortolita Drummers have played well so far.
Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic-born Marcos Roa came through in the clutch. In the top of the fourth, with a runner on 1st and the Drummers trailing 1-0, he hit a 2-run home run to right-center to put Tortolita on top.
