Rick Mayfield was instrumental in his team's 5-3 triumph over the Salt Lake City Buzz. The right fielder went 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Tortolita Drummers. Pedro Figueroa earned the save for Tortolita, his 1st of the year. With the win, Tortolita pushes its record to 2-1.
Mayfield contributed a productive at-bat in the top of the first. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was one at-bat among others that helped Tortolita get the win.
"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Mayfield.
