Plymouth first baseman Ned Durand was instrumental in his team's 9-2 win over the Houston BC. Durand went 2-4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Rocks. Armando Marrero earned the win for Plymouth. He lasted 7.1 innings, allowing 2 earned runs on 10 hits, while striking out 4. With the win, he raised his record to 1-0. The win gives the Rocks a record of 1-1.
Durand had a key at-bat for Plymouth early in the game. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and gave Plymouth an early 3-0 lead.
