Leroux Lifts Mermen to 11-2 Win
|
The Myrtle Beach Mermen bested the Westwood Sixshooters, 11-2, at Tennille Grounds. Éric Leroux was named player of the game. He was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3. Myrtle Beach is in 4th place in the Silver AA with a record of 53-43.
Leroux had a key at-bat for Myrtle Beach early in the game. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 8th home run of the season and gave Myrtle Beach an early 3-0 lead.
"We swung the bats pretty good throughout the lineup," said Myrtle Beach skipper Juan Belmontes.
