It was a fun time at Rails Ballpark, where the Yakima Hops and Richland Rails tangled.
Richland right-hander Barney Starr pitched his team to victory over the Yakima Hops at Rails Ballpark. The final score was 5-1. Starr went 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 0 hits, walked 5, and struck out 7. His record improves to 10-3.
Lee Faught, who was drafted in the two round of the 2022 draft, aided the Richland cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the third. For the game, the first baseman drew 1 walk in 3 plate appearances.
"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Richland Rails manager Allen Bartlett, "I like our chances."
