|
The Lancaster Farmers got a strong performance from pitcher Santo Velazco, who stymied the Irving offense en route to a 3-2 win at Blue Sox Ballpark. The 'W' lifts Lancaster's record to 38-53.
Janghyun Sam aided the Lancaster cause with a run-scoring walk in the top of the second. For the game, the shortstop was 1-3 with 2 walks.
"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said Lancaster Farmers manager Omer van Osch. "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."
