Victory Pushes Hops Record to 52-35
|
Yakima starter Brian Walker had a strong outing against the Durham Rapiers at Rapiers Ballpark. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 4-3 win. Walker was the winning pitcher and moves to 7-2. He threw 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 4 walks. Jack Thornton finished to wrap up his 2nd save.
Xavier Gama in the top of the first had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and the Hops leading 1-0, the Yakima left fielder drew a walk, driving in 1 run.
