Sixshooters Dump Farmers, 3-2

Santiago López pitched well enough to win, but it was not to be. The Lancaster Farmers, despite López's fine outing, dropped a 3-2 decision to the Westwood Sixshooters at Farmers Field. Westwood reliever Esteban García was credited with the win, to go to 5-1. Santiago López took the loss for Lancaster. Even with the win, the Westwood Sixshooters have a dismal 29-58 record.
With runs few and far between, the Sixshooters had to seize their opportunities when they came. One of the most important chances for Westwood came in the top of the fifth. That's when second baseman António Quintero delivered a run-scoring single. The single was hit off Santiago López and made the score 3-2, Sixshooters. Quintero went 2 for 4 with 2 singles.
"We were the better team today. Maybe that won't be the case next game, but we'll enjoy it for now," Quintero told the Westwood Bulletin.
