Piranhas Clip Thundercats in Tight Contest

The Panama City Piranhas beat the Richardson City Thundercats, 7-6, at The Tank. The win was largely due to the efforts of designated hitter Armando Alvarado, who captured player of the game honors. He was 2 for 5 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Panama City is now 30-18, 2 games up in the Premier League.
The clutch at-bat in the bottom of the ninth belonged to Alvarado. Facing Bo Tubbs with the bases loaded, the Panama City designated hitter had a grand slam home run. Game over, walk-off style!
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Panama City manager Brian Talamante. "It's usually not just one thing."
