Behind a solid performance from third baseman Armando Peña, the Richland Rails defeated the Irving Blue Sox, 5-3. Peña went 3-4 with 3 singles, while adding 4 RBI for the Rails. Poto Scacceri was the winner. Over 5.1 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 8 hits, with 2 walks and 3 strikeouts. Jorge Mejía picked up the save for Richland, his 22nd of the year.

One important at-bat came with the bases loaded in the top of the second, when Peña hit a 2-run single. The Rails went on to win.
