Rails Come Up Short at Irving

The Irving Blue Sox topped the Richland Rails, 3-2, in USSL Double A action at Blue Sox Ballpark. The player of the game was Irving pitcher and Yokohama, Japan native Morihiro Sai. Sai picked up the win for Irving, going 7 innings. He gave up 1 run on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 6-7. Irving's record now stands at 40-42, placing them 6th in the Silver AA.
Irving took control in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Myron Rosenbalm hit a 2-run double to make it 3-1, Blue Sox.
"Winning is the only thing that really matters," Sai told the Irving Observer. "If you can win without even breaking a sweat, more power to you."
