Leroux Helps Myrtle Beach Outscore Richland
Myrtle Beach shortstop Éric Leroux was instrumental in his team's 14-10 win over the Richland Rails. Leroux, who is tied for 6th in the SAA in bases on balls with 43, went 3-5 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Mermen. Myrtle Beach reliever David Gómez picked up the win, upping his record to 1-2. Hartmann Riedman took the loss. After today's action, Myrtle Beach sits at 43-37, while Richland falls to 47-33.

Leroux contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Myrtle Beach in the bottom of the eighth. With his team trailing 9-8, Leroux took a fastball from Hartmann Riedman and stroked the home run to left. His 6th home run of the season allowed the Mermen to leap in front, 10-9.

"I was able to barrel up some pitches," said Leroux.
