Multi-HR Day for Ramsey as Rails Overpower Mermen, 25-1
Richland beat Myrtle Beach, 25-1. The win in part was due to first baseman Scott Ramsey, who nabbed player of the game honors. He slugged 3 home runs, while scoring 5 times and driving in 9. After today's action, Richland sits at 47-32, while Myrtle Beach falls to 42-37.

Ramsey came through with some timely hitting for Richland. With the score 2-1 in the top of the third and two down, Ramsey hit a first pitch fastball for a 2-run home run. It was his 22nd home run of the season -- and a big reason the Rails managed to win.

"I still think this team has room for improvement," Ramsey told the Richland Bulletin.
