Loss Extends Tacoma Losing Streak

The Irving Blue Sox did just enough to sneak past the Tacoma Fur Traders, 3-2, at Ballpark of Tacoma. Irving pitcher Alfonso Dolton earned player of the game honors. Dolton got the win, improving to 5-4. He allowed 6 hits and walked 2 over 7.1 innings. Dolton allowed 2 earned runs. Tacoma is trying to get off the schneid, having lost 13 in a row.
One impactful at-bat came in the top of the sixth inning. With runners on 1st and 2nd, the batter, John Clayton, hit a run-scoring single. It made the score 2-1, Irving, and helped them go on to win.
