Rangers Fall to .500 After Loss to Express
|
Wizarding played host to Austin at the friendly confines of Platform 9 3/4.
Wizarding left-hander Javier Roldán made an effective start against the Austin Rangers at Platform 9 3/4, leading his team to a 5-2 win. Roldán, now 4-1, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 4, walking 1, and allowing 2 earned runs. Eijiro Takahashi finished the game for Wizarding and earned his 18th save.
In the bottom of the 7th, catcher Steve Dunn gave Wizarding the lead when he hit a 2-run home run. The Express had been trailing 2-1, but the two-out home run off Austin pitcher Shawn Williams changed that -- and Wizarding went on to win.
Dunn told a Wizarding Observer reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
With the win over Austin, the Express improved to 26-20.
