Santiago López never let the Richland Rails find their groove. Throughout the game, López, who is tied for 4th in the SAA in wins with 6, relied on his bread and butter, his slider, in pitching the Farmers to a win. The 8th-place Farmers are now 28-34, the Rails 35-27.

López, the winner, is now 6-6. In 8 innings of work, he gave up 1 earned run on 3 hits, while collecting 5 Ks. He basically put the clamps on the Richland offense.

"We made a couple of mistakes," said Richland skipper Allen Bartlett, "and it cost us."
