Fur Traders Win at Yakima, 4-2
|
Tacoma right-hander Luis Castrejón pitched his team to victory over the Yakima Hops at Hops Park. The final score was 4-2. The winning pitcher was Castrejón, now 6-3. He tossed 7.1 innings of 2-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 8. The Fur Traders sit in 4th place in the Silver AA with a record of 33-26.
Tacoma catcher Ken Bone helped the Fur Traders go up, 3-1, in the top of the fifth inning. With the game tied, Bone hit a 2-run single off Yakima pitcher Jorge Cruz.
"We came out with the short end of the stick," said Yakima skipper Craig Walters.
