Multi-HR Game for Strickland in 6-5 Win
Myrtle Beach beat Lancaster at Tennille Grounds, escaping with a 6-5 win. The win in large part was due to right fielder Philip Strickland, who earned player of the game honors. He went 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Earning his 12th save for Myrtle Beach was Francisco Gonsáles. The Mermen now own a record of 26-24.

Myrtle Beach took the lead in the bottom of the sixth when Strickland hit a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run made the score 6-4, Myrtle Beach.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Strickland.
