The Minnesota Loons were defeated, 16-2, by the Richland Rails. Leading the charge for Richland was catcher Jorge Colón. He went 4-5 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Dale Hamilton earned the win for Richland. He lasted 6.1 innings, allowing 2 earned runs on 3 hits, while striking out 9. With the win, he raised his record to 6-0. The Rails bumped their record to 23-23 with this latest triumph.
Scott Ramsey helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a 2-run single to give Richland a 2-0 lead.
