Rangers Lose to Thundercats, 6-4
|
Richardson City starter Cordell Wilson had a strong outing against the Austin Rangers at The Thunder Dome. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 6-4 win. Bo Tubbs earned the save for Richardson City, his 10th of the year. With the win over Austin, the Thundercats improved to 20-24.
One important at-bat came with the bases loaded in the bottom of the fifth. That's when Tomás Martínez, who is on pace to hit 47 home runs this season, drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Thundercats went on to win.
"I found a nice groove out there," said Wilson.
