Castrejón Propels Tacoma to 7-0 Win
|
Tacoma Fur Traders starter Luis Castrejón was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Yakima Hops, 7-0. With the win, Tacoma has a record of 29-15. Yakima falls to 26-18.
Castrejón, who has sometimes raised the ire of coaches and teammates with his famously lackadaisical work ethic, turned in a spirited performance. The hurler struck out 8 in 7.1 innings and gave up no earned runs. Castrejón, who is tied for 9th in the SAA with a 6 quality starts, raised his record to 5-2 on the year with 47 strikeouts.
"Luis was pounding the zone," said Tacoma manager Wesley Ellis.
