Rails Fall to .500 After Loss to Sixshooters
|
Westwood right-hander Antoine Ayuso pitched his team to victory over the Richland Rails at Rails Ballpark. The final score was 3-1. The winning pitcher was Ayuso, now 2-6. He tossed 6 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 5. Christian Clayton closed it out for his 7th save.
In the top of the fifth, Edgar González had a big run-scoring double off Barney Starr. With the double, the Westwood left fielder put his team in front, 2-1. He went 1 for 4 with a double in the contest.
"Antoine is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Westwood manager Ken Miller.
The Sixshooters now own a record of 13-29.
