Velazco Leads Farmers to 2-0 Win over Rapiers
Fans who gathered at Rapiers Ballpark saw a good contest between the Lancaster Farmers and Durham Rapiers.

Pitcher Santo Velazco was sensational for the Lancaster Farmers in his team's 2-0 triumph over the Durham Rapiers. Velazco received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. The 9th-place Farmers lifted their record to 14-22.

Velazco delivered a quality start for Lancaster. The 6' 1" right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit over 8 innings of work.

"The old adage is true," said Velazco. "Good pitching stops good hitting."
