Sixshooters Walk Off with Win
|
In a tight battle between the Westwood Sixshooters and the Irving Blue Sox, pitcher Tye Collyer was in the zone. The Westwood right-hander was named the player of the game in Westwood's 2-1 win. Even with the win, the Westwood Sixshooters have a dismal 9-21 record.
Jesús Rodríguez was the walk-off hero for Westwood. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, the Westwood first baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"Great to get the crowd on its feet," Rodríguez said.
