The inspired effort of Richland first baseman Scott Ramsey was not enough to prevent a 9-6 loss to the Lancaster Farmers. Ramsey was 2-3 with a home run and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The Farmers raised their record to 10-19.

Mark Armstead found himself in a pressure situation in the top of the eighth. Facing Richland hurler Gary Kellenberger, the 21-year-old pinch hitter hit a sacrifice fly. His 8th RBI of the season put the Farmers on top, 7-6.

"We'll build on this win," said Armstead.
