The Lancaster Farmers and Richland Rails played a tight game at Rails Ballpark, with the visitors getting the hard-fought win.

The Lancaster Farmers topped the Richland Rails, 3-1, in USSL Double A action at Rails Ballpark. The player of the game was Lancaster pitcher and Mexico City, Mexico native Sergio Zamora. Earning his 2nd save for Lancaster was Raúl Nieto.

In the top of the 5th, Lancaster took the lead on a 2-run home run by Alfredo Sánchez. At the time, the Farmers were trailing 1-0, but Sánchez's hit with two outs against Richland pitcher Paco Manuel put them in front, 2-1.

"We were in it," said Richland manager Allen Bartlett. "We just didn't score enough runs."

Even with the win, the Lancaster Farmers have a dismal 9-19 record.
