Tacoma got an elite performance from starting pitcher César González in taking a 3-1 decision over the Bethesda Atoms. González was the winning pitcher and moves to 3-3. He threw 8 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 2 walks. With the win, the Fur Traders improved to 17-10.
Luis Flores was a key contributor to the win for the Fur Traders. In the top of the sixth with two out, the light-hitting second baseman stroked a single to left. He went 2 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"There are no moral victories," said losing manager Ricardo Martínez.
