Yakima Hops starter Brian Walker turned in a sterling performance against the Lancaster Farmers, leading his team to a slim 1-0 win. Yakima reliever Billy Mays picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Woody Hudson absorbed the loss. Reynaldo Maestas recorded the save for Yakima, his 4th of the season.

Yakima took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning, when Bob Maher hit a clutch solo home run to bring Hops fans to their feet.

Walker attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."

Yakima, now 13-3, is setting the league on fire so far.
