Lancaster pinch hitter Alejandro Garza was instrumental in his team's 4-3 win over the Richland Rails. Garza went 1-1 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Farmers. The winner was Lancaster reliever Bert Gean, now 1-0. The loser was Jorge Mejía. The Richland Rails, now 7-8, continue their poor start.
The clutch at-bat in the bottom of the ninth belonged to Garza. Facing Jorge Mejía with the bases loaded, the Lancaster pinch hitter had a grand slam home run. Game over, walk-off style!
