Riding the 2-hit performance of the 22-year old catcher Jorge Colón, the Richland Rails stymied the Irving Blue Sox, 9-1. Richland has a mark of 6-4 after the win.

One important at-bat came with the bases loaded in the bottom of the sixth, when Colón hit a bases-clearing double. The Rails went on to win.

"We took it on the chin today," said losing manager John Parkinson.
