Longnecks Pin 7-5 Loss on Red Pandas
|
Alan Rosales had a good game, but he could not keep the Sioux Falls Red Pandas from falling, 7-5, to the Bloomington Longnecks at The Bamboo Forest. The Sioux Falls right fielder went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs in the loss. Fred Pitts earned his 2nd save in 2 tries. The second-place Longnecks have won 6 straight.
The Longnecks beat the Red Pandas in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the single Eugene Bentley produced in the top of the sixth. Batting against Sioux Falls pitcher Ordono Lima, he gave his team a 3-1 lead when he hit a 2-run single.
"Hitting, winning. It's just contagious," said Bentley.
