5 Straight Wins for Longnecks
|
The Bloomington Longnecks picked up a win at The Bamboo Forest, knocking off the Sioux Falls Red Pandas, 5-2. Starting pitcher Giovanni Mireles, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. The Longnecks, at 60-35, have now won 5 straight.
Gabrio Campoverde, the Bloomington center fielder, contributed a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to make the score 2-0, Longnecks. For the game, Campoverde went 1-5 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"I like our mindset right now," said Bloomington manager John Muñóz.
