Valéncia Leads Men to Win over Golden Cranes
The Florida Men knocked off the Santa Barbara Golden Cranes, 8-5, at Crane Field. José Valéncia, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Florida won. The left fielder went 3 for 3 with 2 doubles and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Gordon Wiggins was called on to finish, recording his 1st save. Florida currently is in 8th place in the Menard's AAA at 43-48.

In the top of the third, Spencer Landes hit a 3-run home run for Florida. The 19th home run of the season for the Florida designated hitter put the Men on top, 4-1.

"It wasn't our best performance," said Landes, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
