Belugas Come Up Short at Florida
|
Starting pitcher Ron Manning pitched well enough to help the Florida Men beat the Brinkley Belugas by the score of 7-3. Tomás Vargas got credit for the save for Florida. It was his 11th of the year. At 42-48, the Men are currently 8th in the Menard's AAA.
José Valéncia took Glen Holland deep with no one out in the bottom of the third. On a first pitch fastball, Valéncia drilled a 2-run home run to right-center. It was his 4th home run of the season and put Florida on top, 3-1.
"There's still time to turn this season around," said Valéncia.
