Red Pandas Take 11-1 Pounding
|
Ellenburg starter Maxime Janssens pitched effectively against the Sioux Falls Red Pandas at The Bamboo Forest. The left-hander led his team to a 11-1 win. Janssens, now 13-5, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 3, walking 1, and allowing 1 earned run. Ellenburg is third in the Menard's AAA with a record of 54-35.
Also having an impact was third baseman Héctor Rivera, who stroked a bases-clearing triple in the top of the fourth for Ellenburg. For the game, Rivera went 3 for 5 with 2 triples, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once.
"The Fighting Dachsunds definitely had our number," said Sioux Falls manager Barry Embling.
